March 7-10, 2011 (Monday thru Thursday)

$599 per person, double occupancy

We will leave Lake Havasu City, stopping enroute for a break and lunch on your own. Our next stop will be the Pima Air Museum, one fo the largest aviation museums in the world. This musuem, where more than 250 aircraft are displayed, covers everything from the Wright Brothers to our ultimate flying achievement, the famous Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. On our way to our hotel in Tucson, we will drive by Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and view row upon row of "mothballed" airplanes.

We will then check in to our hotel for the next three nights, the Radisson Suites, which provides guests with a resort ambience including a beautifully landscaped, open-air courtyard, spacious heated pool, cool fountains and many other lavish amenities such as Select Comfort Sleep Number Beds. The hotel will provide us with a Welcome Wine & Cheese Party. Dinner this first evening will be at Pinnacle Pete's located in Trail Dust Town.

On our second day, following breakfast, we will depart for Tombstone, dubbed "the Town Too Tough to Die" where you will step back into the rougher days of western history. You will have time to visit: the Courthouse, built in 1882; the famous Boot Hill and O.K. Corral; and many shops. At 11:30 am, we will meet for lunch at Six Gun City and enjoy a Historical Reenactment Gunfight. Then, later this afternoon, we will visit the Kartchner Caverns State Park, a stunning limestone cavern. We will reurn to our hotel to freshen up before we head out to dinner at Guadalajara Grill, which features fresh salsa made at your table.

On our third day, after breakfast at our hotel, we will head out to the Saguaro National Park and the Sonora Desert Museum. This museum has natural enclosures for desert animals including: mountain lion, bighorn sheep and coyotes. We will be having lunch at the museum before heading south where we will be making a stop at Mission San Xavier del Bac, built between 1783 and 1797 and acclaimed as one of the finest examples of Spanish Mission Architecture in the United States. Our last stop for the day will be a Titan Missle Silo, where we will don hard-hats and descend deep into the earth to tour this deactivated missile site, the only one still in existence.

Make sure you load up on a good breakfast at out hotel before we head out for our trip back to Lake Havasu. We will be stopping for lunch on your own in Buckeye and takng another short break before we arrive back home.
